It’s time to let go
Bought the Daredevil/Punisher t-shirt from my store the moment I walked in after watching half of Daredevil Season 2. I had been eyeing it earlier because Daredevil is my #1 favorite Marvel character but hesitated due to my lack of love for Punisher. The show got me over that quickly.
Read Daredevil: Yellow by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale on my break on the recommendation of my co-workers and because I’m a big fan of the team’s Spider-Man: Blue. My verdict is that it’s a fine recap of Daredevil’s origins but doesn’t introduce anything new or interesting about the characters.
My top recommendations for Daredevil books are:
- Frank Miller’s entire run on Daredevil, but especially the Elektra/Bullseye arcs and Born Again
- The graphic novel Daredevil: Love and War by Frank Miller & Bill Sienkiewicz
- Brian Michael Bendis & Alex Maleev’s entire run on Daredevil
- Ultimate Daredevil and Elektra by Greg Rucka & Salvador Larroca, although it’s really more an Elektra story marketed as a Daredevil story (which is fine by me because it’s the best Elektra story!)
- The Ultimate Spider-Man arc titled Ultimate Knights by Brian Michael Bendis & Mark Bagley
