Ghoulish Grimoire
For Halloween, I made made spooky spellbooks out of old hardcover books. I followed this tutorial from Better After with some modifications, namely I used 3D printed objects instead of toys and, importantly, I glued the objects down on top of the paper towel instead of below because I found that I lost detail when I applied the paper towel over them.
Here’s my first attempt, with the paper towel over the 3D objects. The skull looks cool, but the spider legs and snake heads really disappeared under the towel texture.
