Can’t stop a hurricane
Birthday outfit! I didn’t have any place to be this year but work, but that was just fine for the practical outfit I put together. On my birthday, I like to wear clothing that captures my style goals for the next year. This time it’s on the masculine side of androgynous with light goth touches. I’d have worn lipstick, rings, and nail polish, buuuuut I forgot.
This is my first outfit snap with my new MERRY “NO SMART NO ART” shirt! MERRY tour merch is normally difficult to get outside of Japan because the band has no online store; they only sell to their Japan-only fanclub or at lives. But I lucked out when their record label, FREE WILL, brought a bunch of old, unsold merch to their booth at Anime Expo, including the “NO SMART NO ART” shirt I’d been pining for since 2015’s NOnsenSe MARkeT tour. I didn’t attend AX, but my friend Mie snatched up the shirt for me. Thank you, Mie. ♥
I was also incredibly blessed a few days later when the amazing artist Jiji Knight drew my outfit as a warm-up:
